John Paul O'CONNOR & Mary Kathleen DUNN
John Paul O’CONNOR was the fourth child born to Philip Joseph O’CONNOR and Anne Elizabeth Deery O’CONNOR. John Paul, known as “Paul”, was born on August 29, 1930 at St. Joseph’s Riverside Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
He was ordained into the priesthood in Rome, Italy on December 17, 1955. Paul was chancellor of the Youngstown Catholic Diocese until 1973 when he resigned so that he could apply for permission to get married. On May 18, 1974, Paul married Mary Kathleen DUNN (b: July 22, 1938) in Washington, D.C.
1. John Paul was born on April 15, 1975 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He married Allison LUNDE on August 27, 2010. They live in Edina, MN and they have two children:
- Fiona Lillian born on Feb. 27, 2014
- Keelin Mary born on August 21, 2015
2. Francis Philip was born on January 6, 1978 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He is married to Sarah NELSON. Francis and Sarah have two children:
- Isla Jessica born on March 20, 2018
- Finnian Philip was born on July 5, 2019
3. Kathleen Anne was born on February 17, 1981 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. On June 7, 2008, she married Nicholas SCHNEIDER. Kathy and Nick live in Edina, MN and have two children:
- Cara Diane born on Dec. 5, 2011
- Paul born on March 17, 2015
Paul and Mary currently enjoy splitting their time between Naples, Florida (“Golf Country” as Uncle Paul would say) and Edina, Minnesota.
